what i'm up to right now
• living a life of integrity and learning from the word of God
• healing from my own shit, my parents' shit, everybody else's (except my kids and like 3 people) shit
• reconnecting w/ my kids in a way i never did before
• reconnecting w/ a couple people from 'the good 'ol days'
• lots of mountain/trail biking
• getting rid of this dad bod
• being non-corporate after 17 years of being a corporate goon
• running a startup that i believe has a ton of potential
• partnering with other business owners with even more potential
• taking feedback from others on how i communicate with them, which has helped me get much better, and more importantly helped me...
...realize that many people (at least in 🇺🇸) are projecting their past/issues onto other people and blaming them for their own feelings...
...and therefore, my circle of people is much, much smaller. not counting my kids, it's probably too few to make something that resembles a circle. it's surprisingly 1000x better this way and i don't think that will ever change
• because of the above, if someone ever says something to me that is proven untrue by actions or words later... they do not hear from me again. i flat out do not deal with people willing to lie about anything. "you are only as good as your word", and i remember everything everyone says to me
tech gear (because i'm the biggest nerd you know)
• iphone air until duo next month - if you don't know, i'm quite sure the air is the foundation apple is using for next year's 20th anniversary iphone, which you will want, and it will be amazing. was using the 17 pro until i gave it to my son a couple weeks ago... apple has gotten so damn good the phones have been boring, but the air is legitimately refreshing and i've been waiting for the duo for 6 years now since, ironically... the microsoft surface duo
• macbook pro m1 pro (first gen m1 from 2021) - still feels brand new. apple coooooked w/ these m1 chips and this one is upgraded to 32gb/4tb - would love to use as my primary at least 10 years but if you know me irl... that macbook ultra is gonna be screaming my name
• apple watch ultra 4 - haven't noticed the new features yet but have used non-ultra for 6 months and it's nice to be back
• sony rx100 vii - 7 years after it released, and still $300 above the original msrp, i finally got it. i gave my final fuji (x-e5; amazing) to an incredible friend that i believe is a way better photographer than me. i needed to find someone special to help me feel okay stepping away from fujifilm after 11 years, and i found them. super excited to document my life w/ a camera that makes zero sense - 7 years old, smaller than literally every camera you would consider with at least a 1" sensor, yet can still do stuff and perform in a way 2026 cameras cannot. it was from the future when it came out, and i'm not even sure if i'm at that future yet

• xbox series x and 65" lg oled c6 - listing this because good luck hearing from me once ocarina of time releases two weeks before gta vi. literally only a handful of you will get semi-quick responses

• 2027 yeti mt aka trail terminator, - iykyf'ingk
• 2020 yeti sb140 27.5 aka super betty 140 - replaced my 2017 yeti sb5 27.5 with this, and upgraded it a few months ago to be the sickest 27.5 in dallas, but... now i have the trail terminator. super betty 140 will pass down to my kids and likely end up being my daughter's main bike after my youngest son outgrows it. a friend taught me how to make it a "mini-mullet" so they can start using it even earlier
• 2027 santa cruz tallboy deore - this one is for my oldest son, and i can't wait to see him destroy the trail right in front of me and rename it
• wilson a2000 11.5" dp15 pedroia - it's purple, pink, turquoise, and siiiiiick. also have color matched rawlings maple bat & batting gloves. yes, this is who i am; take it or leave it
